Hi,
   I have used out-of-date film on several occassions, E6 chromes
   only. Each time I tested one roll and had it quick developed (1hr)
   at a local pro lab, to see if it is good, then I bought a whole
   brick of it, at significant saving over normal price film (1/2
   mostly). Storing it in freezer, so far it never failed me, even 1
   year after expiration. But then, I have tested it before purchase,
   and I shoot some not so important stuff on it every half year or so
   :), to see if it's still good, before doing anything really
   important. It were normal-speed films, but I have also used
   outdated Provia 1600p, 6 months old, _coldstored_, that was normal.
   Of course there is some small risk with it. But I don't shoot
   chromes for commercial work much, so I can take it.
