Thanks Cotty, I did it. I recall having done this once before, but not with my current monitor. Some of the settings were a bit off, although my monitor always matched my printer output fairly well. But I'm thinking it will be better. It's obviously better for web viewing, and the shot on my website that was banding looks good now. I'm quite sure that the photo that raised the issue (the macro lily) would look good now as well. Paul
