I'll never forget my daughter Anna, who's a professional singer and actor,
saying "please take that HATEFUL picture off my website NOW!!!". We thought
it was the best one we'd seen of her. I don't dare share it with the list

We have different requirements from photographs. As a photographer we're
looking for movement, atmosphere, good lighting, uncluttered backgrounds,
sometimes sharpness, sometimes bizarreness - I could go on. Rock musicians
want to look cool, have a good (whatever that means) expression and also
show themselves in the style of the music they're performing.

Here are some of my pictures on a band website, chosen by the band for their
bio page:

Whereas my picks for each of the band members would have been this one for
the guitarist:

Bass player - I sort of agree with her choice, but slightly lean towards:

And drummer (it's in the pdml book, shameless plug,

As I say, we're all looking for different things. I'm sure many people on
the list would disagree with my choices - and that's fine.
