Similar brain fade happened to me last Saturday.
I have just acquired a new addition to my herd of rescue dogs A 1 year
old Pit bull terrier, American Eskimo mix, brindle bitch named Sakoda.
Father was Kody, mother was Sadie, hence the name Sakoda. 19.2 lbs of
terror. Looks like a large Chihuahua. Has a Pitt's feeling of
superiority. Will go at it (play) with any dog of any size, even if
she has to climb up on their shoulders to get a good grip on their
neck. I have a great photo of her intimidating one of her playmates, a
Corgie, by jumping over it from one side to the other. I'll put it on
my gallery in a few minutes. Look for "Introducing Sakoda".

Anyways, I shot 100+ great action shots of all my dogs with the K-7 at
the dog park for about 45 minutes before I felt a need to chimp. What
I saw was that nasty notification telling me I had left my 8 gig SD
card plugged in to the computer. Pulled my 4 gig spare out of the
battery grip and punched it in, but the verve was lost. After a few
shots of wimpy dog action I packed it in and went home, dejected and
angry with myself.
It was one of the few days with sunlight we've had since last summer
(it seems) so I was using a good ƒ8 and 1/1000 or better at ISO 200.
Usually I'm at ƒ5.6 with 1/320 @ ISO 800.
But I'm of an age that it might take 2 or 3 trips between the car and
the house before I've gotten everything I meant to take with me. Even
then there is a 50% chance at least one item won't be remembered until
I'm down the road a bit. I've learned to not give a darn by that
point, as I may get it right tomorrow.

There is no off position to the genius switch.
Genius can, however, be observed as insanity.
