I don't know about this particular model, but the "*" lenses tend to be "cold dead hands" lenses (i.e., "You can have my lens when you pry it from my cold dead hands"). I have the F* 300/4.5 and FA* 200/2.8 and it'd be really tough for someone to come up with enough value to get me to trade them.
