. . . . This one, and others of this particular team, remind me of something that happened one spring as my brother and I were driving in the Amish country around Arthur, Illinois. We noticed a large hitch at the far end of the field. As they turned and came closer we could see it was a seven-horse hitch pulling a two-bottom riding moldboard plow -- the one in this photo is a disc plow, and the only one we'd ever seen was a two-horse hitch pulling a walking plow. As my brother raised his camera to get a shot of the team, the Amish farmer jumped off the plow, ran toward us waving his arms, "No, no. Please don't take a picture of me. You can take a picture of the team, but please don't take a picture of me." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric Weir Decatur, GA USA [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
