I've only ever known the Pentax SLR system. I have figured out a way to carry my gear bag (cross-slung over my shoulder, hanging off my left hip) & change my lenses (hit lens release button w/ right hand, remove lens w/ left hand & drop into bag w/out releasing my grip from the camera).
With the spouse's Nikon & the Olympus, the lens release button is on the left hand side and all of these dynamics need to be re-thought.
