Interesting old machine and great to see it's being well looked after. The idea of a car being manufacturer by a sewing machine company reminded me of Australia's Lightburn Zeta, a car manufactured by a washing machine company. Needless to say it wasn't a runaway success (only about 300 were made) but I think it still has the distinction of being the only car having the same number of gears in forward and reverse (you had to switch off the engine to change). A bit of history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightburn (I love the quote: "With the Zeta, however, failure was engineered into the product from day one") Cheers Brian ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney Australia http://members.westnet.com.au/brianwal/SL/ -- -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Send your email first class -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
