I put together a slide show from the workshop my aikido dojo put on last month for the barbecue for the folks who volunteered on it today. It was shown on the large HDTV. The resolution is only 1920x1080, but the screen was probably 20x40 inches. I've got to say that there was something very cool about seeing my photos that large. It was also very cool not seeing them in an "I'm working on them" mode, and not necessarily knowing what was going to come up next. There were actually a few times when I had the pleasant experience of seeing one of my pictures and just getting the emotional response of "hey, that's a nice shot".
A friend of mine just dropped about $1200 on a computer monitor that wasn't much smaller physically, and probably had 2-3 times the resolution of the HDTV today. I could see that such a screen could be an entirely viable way of showing my photos, especially at a party. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
