I agree. I hooked a PC up to a 40" LCD TV and seeing the photos that big is just stunning. At least, it is when the photo is decent. :-)
I also found that the color on the LCD TV is about as good as on my IPS color monitor. In fact, the blacks on the TV are much deeper on the TV than the monitor. Photos on the TV just look darned good, color wise. And at normal viewing distance, 1080 lines is plenty for most stuff. And the 40" TV cost about what I paid for the 24" IPS monitor.
