The black dog's expression is quite clear on my screens. Your comment, and a
similar comment earlier about the monsoon cloud photo, hints to me that you
might have an issue with your monitor.

I'm cc'ing Mark on this because he used my computer a few months ago... if he says stuff looks weird on my monitor
to his sharp eyes  then I'll believe that.

I don't think it is the monitor, alas -- I'm going to get my eyes checked in a couple of months...

I worry mainly that other people are seeing _my_ images too light when they look right to me on the screen.

That being said.. going back and looking at the doggies, - if I stare at the picture for a while I can then see that what I considered the expression on the front dog was I thought his nose was one of his eyes...... so that he looke dmore like a monkey than a dog... now I see he looks rather regal
