I share your sentiment for a certain part, Christine. K7 is a fine camera. As a matter of shameless plug I am offering you this entry in my blog: http://pentax-ways.blogspot.com/2010/02/power-of-habit.html

I should also say that despite having a number of advantages over K10D and up to date being the most advanced DSLR Pentax ever produced, I still think that older cameras, such as K20D or K10D (one that Galia is using as well) are very fine photographic tools.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I still have strong affection and respect for both the K20D & K10D.

As for stealthiness, well, yes K7 is pretty stealthy, up to the limitations of sound produced by screwdriver AF motor and quiet but not entirely silent mirror slap. (I hope I am using the words 'quiet' and 'silent' in proper order here :-) ) This was to a certain extent demonstrated by Chris in Chicago during that exhibition...

Boris

P.S. Unless new camera is really a full frame one, which is quite unlikely, I don't think that I personally would be very much interested in upgrading my K7. I cannot afford buying a camera more expensive than USD 1000 every year.
