Pentax has no real motivation to deal with this problem.  I suppose
they could generate some kind of mask on the viewing screen, but that
would increase the price of camera for a feature that many have never
even thought about  Most folks do some post processing on their shots,
and cropping is a  very simple process.  As a matter of fact I would
rather do this in post processing when I have some time to try
different things.  i realize that this is not your preferred way of
working and I'm sorry it's a problem for you,.  What DSLRs do change
their viewscreen to compensate for this?  Maybe an EVIL camera might
work better for you.
