I'm looking to consolidate my flash collection to a single type of
flash that will do all I need.

I currently have 2 AF360 FGZ and 2 AF500FTZ flashes. I tend to use
the AF 360's in PTTL mode and am happy with the results except when
they simply aren't powerful enough to do the job required. Then I use
the 500's in manual mode. Trouble is that for some macro work the
500's are too powerful and the manual side doesn't go down to less
than 1/32 power.

I'm looking at replacing all 4 with 2 that will work in all
situations. The options I'm looking at are the Pentax AF540FGZ (a bit
on the expensive side) or the Sigma EF530 Super DG (but I'm not sure
of build quality and so on with the Sigma - and of course it's not a
Pentax (though I'm not a Pentax snob. Really I'm not.)).

Can those of you who own the Sigma please give me your impressions of
how well it works and how well it's built. If anyone else has
suggestions I'd love to hear them. It needs to work PTTL and
preferably wireless.

Thanks,

Leon
