Maybe the scanning process?
I'm not sure. I'm not super thrilled with the results of the scanned pictures from the rollei. I will have to do a bit more experimentation, but it is good to know that it at least passes the smoke test and that the shutter and aperture seem to work. I will have to get some of the shots printed directly from the negatives and see if those look better. With the 60 year old cameras the fun seems to be as much in the process of taking the pictures as it is in the results. I could probably have almost as much fun for a lot less money if I didn't bother putting film in the cameras when I went out shooting. > >> When I pixel peep they don't seem as sharp as I'd hope, but that may have to >> do with the subject matter, and also the fact that it's scanned, as the >> noise looks like digital noise rather than grain. > > There's something there that I find bothersome... Thank you. I have another shot in the set, very similar to this that I call "glowing yoni" due to my placement of the sun in the composition, which I like a bit more, but may not be appropriate for a family oriented list. > > ;-) > > cheers, > frank > > -- > "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
