No, hardly anyone is going to post what they *think* are crappy pictures, plenty of people *do* post crappy pictures. > I've taken some > very nice pictures with allegedly mediocre lenses, but I would hope > nobody gets into a bidding war on eBay for those lenses based on the > select photographs I've posted online. > > Miserere's Law of Photographic Optics: All lenses are better than > 99.9% of photographers. > > All lenses are good when used within their limits. I just printed out a batch of photos from burning man. About half of them were taken with the Argus and I alternatively note just how crappy the lens on it is, and marvel that a lot of the photos that I took with it are just as good as the ones as I took with the K20 and 16-50. Likewise, I've been a little bit disappointed in the image quality of the photos that I took with the Rollei, but I think that a lot of that is just not knowing how to work to its strengths. I also need to get some of these photos printed directly from negatives and see how much difference that makes. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
