My impression is that Lightroom isn't really intended for moving photos
around.
Actually, once you start with Lightroom, I think you are best to use it for
all your image management. If you move stuff within Lightroom, it both moves
and is kept track of. If you move it outside of Lightroom, it moves but is
not kept track of.
Sure, you can go find it, but why bother?
