Don't let the locals hear you say that!

Mount Washington claims 6,228 feet (very cold, windy feet ...),
and another six peaks in the presidential range top 5000 feet.

I've only reached the summit of Mount Washington behind the wheel
of a car.  Nowadays it's relatively easy - the road is paved all
the way - but the first time I did it the last couple of miles of
the road (above the tree line) were on gravel.  Driving mountain
switchbacks on narrow gravel roads, in moderately high winds, gets
your attention.
