Yes it's always good to be prepared. I've added a rescue blanket to my first aid kit now. I'm going to go shopping for some decent waterproof gloves as well. The results of the race are out, I placed 12th out of 14 finishers (18 entrants). I'm surprised I didn't come last. But I was glad to have finished at all.
