Walt,
I don't want to be mean, but this sounds like a 'Fools Errand'.
Your audience could go from no experience/no computer to advanced amateur.
I guess I'd plan on a couple or three short presentations, then coffee
with the intense.
Here's my thoughts on presentations:
1) This is a P&S digital camera. Buy one & take photos.
Take the memory stick to Walmart/Walgreens & print your best photos.
Put them all in a little 'brag book'.
2) This is a P&S digital camera. Buy one & take photos.
Load the pictures onto your computer. Pick the best,
and upload them to Picasa for sharing. Print some too.
3) This is a DSLR. It's like that SLR you used to use with film,
and a step up from the P&S's - interchangable lenses and all.
They also make some nice in-between cameras where lenses
can't be changed but the zooms are good. The more you do this,
the more home computer you will need.
Regards, Bob S.
