Thanks for all the replies, even the lighthearted ones. FYI, this is a group of seniors in our church, some who have been observed on "field trips" still using film cameras. They are a very active group and many have expressed learning more about digital. I plan to keep it very simple, primarily aimed at where to look for good buys and what to look for, primarily ergonomics, price, and one that they can understand a lot from just looking at the camera.
