Don't I know it! I tried to contain the magic smoke, but it
dissipated too quickly.
It's rather annoying that the flash has only been fired about a hundred
times too. It's practically new, but there's only a one year warranty on
the flashes.

Last Tuesday I dropped-off a 540FGZ flash that smokes, and a DA* 50-135 that
has the mythical-never-happens SDM failure disease for warranty repair. They
promised an estimate on the 540FGZ, which is out of warranty sadly. I was
told to expect a couple of weeks.
What should I expect really?
