Unless I had pressing business, I would drive, take two days each way
(or at least one way), and do some recreational/speculative/stock
photography en route. There's some beautiful countryside between you
and Greensboro.
If he's driving from Michigan he doesn't have to go through Greensboro.
Greensboro's about 40 miles the other side of Martinsville.
