Yes, the flash body is oriented sideways but both the camera and flash
head are oriented in portrait. With a tilt/swivel head on the flash,
the only thing you can't do when flipped is bounce off a wall to your
right.

So in this case, you flip the camera and bracket... then tip the top part (with
the flash on it) over to be above the camera.
That leaves the flash in a "sideways" orientation at that point...although with
a swivel head I guess that's not the worst thing.
Looks like the Stroboframe series is the way to go, if one is "on a budget"
