I missed the part about the swively thing on my earlier post. B&H has all sort of brackets (flash brackets) with the capacity to aim the flash all over the place, but they are so darned expensive, I could never justify the cost. I always used a Kalt bracket (this is 35 years ago, for about $9), and aimed the flash head at the ceiling or twisted it a bit to the side and ceiling.
