What happened to me few times is that I forgot to turn off the camera. Not that it switches itself on in the bag, but I simply didn't turn it off. I checked that several times and it is definitely me who didn't turn off the main switch. It didn't matter really, no empty batteries afterwards. It must be that the camera suits me so well that my alter-ego doesn't allow myself to flip the switch. :)
