PJ, you're right. There is a bounce version and an older non-bounce.

Though the bounce feature is kinda funny to me as I don't remember it
having enough power to bounce off the ceiling!

I would almost go for the 2400 except that I want the auto modes on the 2000.

But you're right about it being handy too. It was the first flash I
ever bought. Quickly bought something bigger for more power.

But it saved my butt a couple times. I put the "something bigger" on a
light stand one day shooting sports portraits and it got blown over by
the wind and broke the hotshoe. Even after I quit using it, I usually
kept it with me it was so small and light. Very handy.
