It's small, light and does a creditable job. Just remember it's an
analog interface, and it doesn't have a lot of power.

So I went and was looking again at the Pentax dedicated flashes. I'd
never paid much attention.
I think I'm going to get a AF200T.
Anyone have any thoughts on that one? Looks pretty small. Lots of features.

Found an AF-200FG for $20 when Wolf Camera was going out of business. It
does pretty much the same thing as the tiny Vivitar except it's dedicated.
The only "problem" I've had with it is the manual is not available for
download. I like to keep a PDF version of all the manuals for the equipment
I have on my hard-drive. Probably ought to burn them all to a CD (and use up
some of my excess CDRs since it looks like I'll be using DVDs for most
everything else.)
When you go to Pentax's support site and select "AF200FG FLASH" from ...
... "Manuals and Literature / Accessories / Flashes" ...
... you get the AF_200Sa_FLASH.pdf instead.
Selecting "AF200FG" just returns the message "Search did not find any
available documents."
Also picked up a Battery Grip FG that I passed along to someone here on the
list at what I paid for it + postage. I don't even remember what camera it
fit, but the price was extremely low, so I figured someone here would want
it& took advantage of the opportunity it presented. And someone *did* want
it, so that worked out.
And I got a couple dozen Remote Control Fs.
