<rant> And you have to ask yourself, why, and I'm not singling out just this site, are places so reluctant to tell you where they are physically located? That information should be on the front page of a retail web site. What the hell do they think? I'll fall so in love with their site I'll just have to drive over, even if I live 1000miles away? </rant>

No, Steve. illy makes whole bean coffee and ground coffee, sold in
great metal cans:

I buy the whole bean for my coffee at home, and sometimes to grind at
work as well. Since it takes time and makes noise to grind coffee, I
bought a machine from illy USA that takes pods of pre-ground coffee,
as well as normal coffee, using two different inserts.

I have tried many "designer coffees." To me, the caffe I drank it
Italy was better, so when I discovered almost everyone there uses
illy, now I use illy in both whole bean and pre-ground pod formats,
depending on time and how much noise I feel comfortable making.

I'm expressing genuine ignorance here. Does Illy automatically come
in ground form? Our local coffee shop (the Lexington Coffee Shop) is
connected with a local bean roaster (the Lexington Roasting Co.) so I
have long since lost track of the outside world.

What pre-ground? All I saw was a cup of the extracted form.
True. He could be simply using an Illy logo cup for some other
brand/method of coffee/espresso brewing with freshly ground beans.
Let's hope so, shall we?
