Counting the minutes now...

In the same (very) small town where I'm meeting up with the box of
stuff there is a Danish Bakery. On Thursday's it becomes a pizza place
run by a couple of Germans. (Go figure). The pizza is purportedly "to
die for" and only available on Thurs. nights. So I called to order one
for take out. They are the same price, no matter what you put on 'em.
An engineer that I work with said that you will feel like exploding
after two pieces. I'm getting a Medium Supreme ($15). Apparently the
seating there is limited and it is a madhouse, so they have an
arrangement with the tavern next door that their customers can eat
their pizzas there, if they order the beverages from the bar. Sounds
like a win/win to me!

When I called to order, I asked the guy on the phone if they take
plastic or if I need to bring cash. He told me he doesn't have a card
reader and the charges for processing are prohibitive so cash works
better. He added that when people show up with only plastic he just
gives 'em their pizza and tells them to send a check when they get
home.

That's Nebraska, at least the Nebraska that hasn't completely
disappeared into the 21st Century yet and its what we mean when you
hear our motto "The Good Life".
