Here's my $.02 on the question - I'm not sure what you're expecting to get
out of a home study course and if time is an issue, a multi day workshop
might be the answer. I've taken a number of outdoor photography workshops
and they have done more to improve my photography than anything I've ever
done in all the years I've been shooting. Except for some advanced
workshops, they all offer instructioin on equipment usage, exposure,
composition etc. With a good instructor your technical questions will get
direct feedback instantly. You'll get to see how a pro goes about his
photography. You will get you work critiqued by a working professional and
spend time with others in places you might not otherwise get to on your own.
These are hands on sessions which I find much more worthwhile than a book
study arrangement.
