The one piece of advice I can give here is to buy the genuine Pentax adapter. I have both the Pentax one and a third party one. The third party model looks exactly the same but is very difficult to get on and off, in fact I once had to take the entire lens mount off my MX to get it off when it jammed in place. The Pentax one however fits much better, but costs twice as much (but still not much in the scheme of things).
