just noticed this; format the external as FAT-32 -- any Mac can read it
and you won't have to install any software on Windows
It's a 500GB drive. I don't think Windoze can cope with that in FAT-32.
I went ahead and bought a copy of MacDrive8 from Academic Superstore. It
was delivered while I was in the hospital.
