The machine at walmart thought this photo was a mistake and would make the file so the building was exposed properly. I tried working with the techs at the lab to get a better scan but no go.
More likely a case of the operator not taking the time to 'properly' scan the image.
Early on, I had a local pro firm, using Kodak equip., scan over 700 slides - the only issue I ever had with them was they initially scanned them out of order. The exposures were always spot on compared to the original slides.
You get what you pay for.
The lit area would scan completely blown out and the dark building would come back with so much digital noise ... ugh. It was horrible. Now, no worries! -- ~Nick David Wright http://www.nickdavidwright.net/
