Yes, I think that we should have a section for "Open Gallery" or non-theme images in every monthly gallery, as we did some time ago. That may encourage more people to contribute.
Speaking of which, any news on the December PUG? As an exercise, I went back and downloaded all my PUG entries, over the past 11 years -- 122 in total -- to my photo.met gallery.
