Another one from today's walk with the 16-45. More documentary than
art.
The Manchester Courts building sustained severe structural damage in
the September 4 earthquake. A campaign was mounted to try and save
it, but engineers declared it unsafe so the city council voted to
condemn it and it's currently in the process of being demolished.

It's a shame to see a significant historic building coming down like
this. I always thought of it as one of the city's more interesting
structures. But safety comes first and I really don't think it would
have been feasible to repair.
The building is well and truly fenced off and this is the best view I
could get.

I hope they'll take it down piece by piece and preserve as much of the
decorative architectural details for possible future re-use as is possible.
It would be a real shame to just blow something like that up.
