I used a L398M for quite a long time. They're built like a brick shithouse
and do the job well. They also look cool and retro. The downside is that you
have to use strange metal plates in them for reasons which I can't remember,
and the plates are easily lost. You might save yourself some grief by
getting a L308s, which is what I use now when I need an incident reading.
