I faced the same question and went for the Pentax 60-250. I haven't had any regrets. It's weather sealed, well built, and its optimum stop is wide open up to about 180 mm and f5.6 at longer focal lengths. That makes it superb at doing the job it was built for. An f2.8 lens that isn't sharp until f5.6 offers no real advantage. Paul
