When I was a kid growing up in Montreal, my Dad brought me downtown every Christmas season. At the time there were no less than four grand department stores all within a few blocks, each with a wonderful animated Christmas window for the kids (of all ages, as they say).
Walking along Ste. Catherine's Street with Dad on cold snowy winter evenings to see all the windows and go to all the toy departments, then to the Chicken Chalet for BBQ chicken and hot chocolate: those are memories I'll always have with me this time of year. I know there are only one or two of the big stores left in Montreal. Here in Toronto, there is one of the old stores left downtown, The Bay. They still have their Christmas window, and it's enjoyed by young and old alike: http://knarfdummyblog.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-window.html Hope you enjoy, and hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!! cheers, frank and Judy -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
