Nice. Very spectacular birds. I'm trying to gauge how big they are -
I'd previously thought that Cardinals might be about sparrow sized but
this one looks a bit bigger than that.
My Birds of Michigan Fiels Guide list the Northern Cardinal as 8 to 9".
