It appears that my remark was completely misunderstood. Alas.
On the other hand, Andrew, your recent posts appear to be gear centric. "Look, guys, I've DA 15 which is wonderfully wide." or "See how cool DA70 is on film". In my view from this corner of the great void, it only invites the question of comparison. Among other things, I naively thought, it would be beneficial for many of us to see such a comparison.
Given that I happen to have both 50 mm lens(es) and FA 77, and both film and digital cameras, I may endeavor to perform such a comparison myself.
I wonder if indeed the wording of my previous remark to you Andy, could be interpreted in the way you did and not in any other way.

Oh the horror ... to use a lens for something other than a pigeon-holed purpose written in stone by the photography God's of 1940's studio portraiture - the horror! Just a heads up guys: when I present a series of shots, or a gallery, or talk about a lens - I'm not insulting your gear, telling you that you 'have' to like what I'm posting, or asking you to tell me how a lens 'should' be used. The shots are meant to demonstrate the utility of the DA70 on 35mm. "I would be very curious to see the comparison of these shots with those made on APS-C DSLR with 50 mm lens at the same time on the same location. In particular I cannot help but notice that only 2 out of 11 shots are portraits. Obviously any lens can be used for many purposes, but this strikes me as curious - you've been using an allegedly portrait lens for common photography, so to say. Boris"
