using a 50mm lens on a bellows would only
be good for extremely high magnifications
at close range (lens to object). Most
bellows lens are 100mm for this reason.

The 50mm f1.7 has the flattest field of focus of all the non macro 
50-55mm lenses Pentax made, up to the DA series lenses, for those I 
cannot vouch.  It's the recommended lens to be used with the Autobellows 
for that reason, (if you're not using the actual Bellows lens that is...
