I'm not terribly thrilled with the image quality in my first generation Moto Droid. What I do like about it though is the ability to geotag photos, so if I want to go back and see where I took a photo, I can. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/collections/72157622699921737/ A few apps that I find very helpful: K-9 mail is better than the original mail client. Compass is now very handy because you can tag a spot with GPS and use it to find that spot later, like when you park your car in an unfamiliar city. My friend Ed wrote an RPN calculator that's very nice, it acts just like one of the old HPs. Tricorder is amazing, it gives you access to all of the sensors in the droid: accelerometers, magnetic flux, gps, and will even do FFTs on the audio input. Google sky is very, very cool. Shop savvy allows you to take a picture of a products UPC code and will look up prices on the web for better deals either on the web, or in local stores that have their prices posted. others worth checking out: wifi analyzer gps status navy clock bubble level I'm also learning to use swype for input, and it seems to work very well. I'm trying to learn the development environment for it, but it's a bit challenging.
