It looks good. In fact, it looks so good that I am starting to wonder if given favorable light one could process the phone camera image so that web sized picture (say, 800 pixels across the long edge) would be hard to tell apart from that shot with a comparably wide lens on a DSLR. After all, you have 5 mln pixels, Paul, evidently, you could pick out one out of every ten of them that were the best.

The cool part about all this is that the Droid 2 comes with a 5
megapixel camera in a 16 x 9 format. I haven't had time to do any
real photography with it, but I did step out on my deck and shoot the
frozen garden in my backyard. Not bad. Looks like quite a bit of
noise reduction, which makes sense, and I sharpened it a bit and
bumped up the saturation in PhotoShop, since the day was dark and
