robocopy is Microsoft's replacement for xcopy; it knocks it into a cocked hat.

For XP (& server 2003) it's downloadable as part of the resource kit
tools from here:

For Vista & 7 it's already included.

SyncToy is probably more user friendly though, and had a few more
safeguards with respect to deleting files.
