I have a small Google Groups mailing list and it appears that people can no longer apply for membership via the Google Groups web page unless they have a Google account.
I've found that you can apply without a Google account by sending an email to a specific subscription address, but the system doesn't notify me that someone's joined so I won't know to go in and approve them. I've hunted through the admin interface looking for options I can set, and I've searched the help documentation until I ran out of patience (the above is as far as I've managed to get). Is it possible for me to be notified of new member subscriptions? Otherwise I'm just going to have people email me directly so I can add them manually.
