Well... my wife doesn't get along real well with caffeine, so the first pot of 
coffee in our house is decaf.  Then I make myself a second mug of "real" coffee.

I prefer the caffeinated, but don't diss decaf completely until you've tried my 
Cast Iron Decaf.  It's much better than no coffee at all, IMHO.
