I use my Bodum about once a week, usually with Columbian
beans that I purchase in bulk at Costco. But there are way
too many coffee drinkers in this house to get by with a
french press. We make 40 cups every morning in a large
commercial-style percolator. It makes good coffee. Not as
good as the press of course, but it's better than the coffee
served in most restaurants and coffee shops. The beans and
fresh grinding are key. Paul

Damn! FORTY cups a day?

Shake reduction must have been a god-send.
Yes, it was! Seriously, that's forty cups the way coffee pots measure
coffee. For example, the little mister coffee carafes are said to be
ten cups. My mug, which I would describe as "large normal" holds
about four cups. We have four serious coffee drinkers in the house,
so that's two to three big mugfuls each. I just finished my third
mug, so I'm done for the day.

Working today, BTW. Tomorrow as well. Business is booming at
Stenquist Communications!

Last semester, I bought a 4-cup Cuisinart drip coffee maker for my apartment down at school so I could keep my 4-cup Mr. Coffee back at home.

The 4-cup Mr. Coffee makes two *REAL* cups of coffee, and the Cuisinart makes about 1-3/4 *REAL* cups.

Being alone, the 4-cup makers work pretty good for me, because they reduces the amount I waste.

I'll usually make a pot in the morning and sometime in the afternoon drop in on McDonalds/Biscuitville/Dunkin Donuts/7-11 ... anywhere they make it in a Bunn-o-matic drip machine ... and get my afternoon coffee.

Don't know what I'll do if the doctor ever tells me I have to drink decaf. Give it up entirely I guess.
