I found a pretty good video on the BBC. They actually have a few but I thought this was the best.

It is likely to be a few weeks before the cordons are lifted. I spent this morning helping the neighbours dig a channel through the liquefaction silt so rainwater can drain through the gutter. It's about 6-8 inches thick at its deepest point. It seems to have originated from a big crack at the top of the street and it just flowed down and pooled at the corner opposite our house. We also helped to clear a couple of driveways and remove silt from beside someone's house. It looked overwhelming but with all those people we made short work of it. Now I'm tired but if I have a snooze now I'll have trouble sleeping tonight :) I'll download some photos from the camera now.
