I found a pretty good video on the BBC. They actually have a few but I thought
this was the best.

It really hurts to see this, I'm not sure how I'm going to react when I get to
see the damage first-hand. It is likely to be a few weeks before the cordons
are lifted.

I spent this morning helping the neighbours dig a channel through the
liquefaction silt so rainwater can drain through the gutter. It's about 6-8
inches thick at its deepest point. It seems to have originated from a big
crack at the top of the street and it just flowed down and pooled at the corner
opposite our house. We also helped to clear a couple of driveways and remove
silt from beside someone's house. It looked overwhelming but with all those
people we made short work of it.

Now I'm tired but if I have a snooze now I'll have trouble sleeping tonight :)

I'll download some photos from the camera now.

Cheers,
Dave
