I don't have any photos from town and I won't be able to get any until the 
cordon is lifted.  That's likely to be a while as there are a lot of unstable 
buildings and aftershocks are still coming through.  I do have some rather 
undramatic photos of liquefaction damage and cracking in retaining walls, roads 
and paths.  I'll post a few later today if I get around to it.

I managed to get a bit of sleep last night, I must have been dozing as I didn't 
really feel like I was getting any.  The aftershocks are smaller this time 
around (I think) so I'm not as jumpy.  But they are noisy and sharp.

I'm about to go out and help shovel silt off the street outside.  I really wish 
I could help out in the CBD but they won't let anyone in except for search & 
rescue.

I haven't seen a lot of footage on TV, it's too upsetting.  Last night I was 
trying NOT to think of the things I saw first-hand yesterday... and the stuff 
on TV looked even worse.
